School Trips

Offsite visits at Cantrell Primary School

Cantrell Primary and Nursery School recognises that Outdoor Education, Learning Outside the Classroom, adventurous activity and a range of recognised sports and physical activities have the intention of producing positive outcomes in terms of personal and social education, in addition to improved health and well-being outcomes.

Key Information

The Offsite Visits Co-ordinators (OVC) at Cantrell primary School are Sarah DeBarr and Nicola Eldridge. Their roles are to check that trips are well planned, and they will be educationally beneficial for the children that attend them. The OVC's fill in the information about the trips onb the Evolve system and these are then authorised by the Headteacher.

There are 3 types of trip:                                                                                            

Category A - local regular and routine

Category B - trips further afield that are within the school day

Category C - residential trips and adventurous activities
